LAUNCH CONTROL EQUIPMENT BUILDING

NOTE:  THE CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL REAGENT FILTER IS ON THE LEFT.  THE CONTROL AIR COMPRESSOR AND DIESEL FUEL DAY TANK CAN BE SEEN IN FRONT OF THE DIESEL ENCLOSURE.  POWER CONTROL CENTER #2 IS DIRECTLY IN BACK.  THE BLAST VALVE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT IS AT THE RIGHT REAR AND THE AIR CONDITIONER IS ON THE RIGHT.  A SHOCK ISOLATOR CAN BE SEEN ON THE RIGHT

NOTE:  THE GREEN THERMOS AND COOLER IN THE KITCHENETTE OF THE LAUNCH CONTROL CENTER AND THE RED SMUDGE IN THE DISTANCE.  THAT'S A NOTEBOOK ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE MISSILE COMBAT CREW COMMANDERS CONSOLE, WHICH IS NEARLY 120 FEET AWAY FROM THIS VIEWPOINT.

LOOKING AFT FROM THE HIGH FREQUENCY RADIO RACK IS LOCATED

NOTE:  SNORKEL PARKA AND SQUADRON SCARF HANGING FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER.  THE YELLOW PIPE ABOVE THE BLAST DOOR IS A CONDUIT FOR WIRING COMING DOWN THE ELEVATOR SHAFT AND LEADING INTO THE THEN ELECTRICAL SURGE ARRESTOR ROOM.  FOR SOME REASON THE LINES WERE LEFT OUT OF THE ORIGINAL WIRING AND THIS MAKESHIFT CONDUIT WAS NECESSARY.

NOTE:  RED SAFE WHERE THE SEALED AUTHENTICATORS AND LAUNCH KEYS ARE STORED.   TO THE LEFT OF THE STATUS CONSOLE IS THE HIGH FREQUENCY RADIO RACK AND TO THE RIGHT IS THE ALARM MONITOR RACK.

NOTE:  IT FELL TO THE MISSILE COMBAT CREW COMMANDER TO INSPECT THIS RADIO EVERYDAY, IT WAS ALSO HIS SOLEMN DUTY TO UPHOLD THE AMERICAN SOLDIER'S TIME HONORED TRADITION OF THE PINUP GIRL.
