HOME OF THE 32nd COMMUNICATIONS SQUADRON SCRIBNER AB HOOPER, NEBRASKA
1st AEROSPACE COMMUNICATIONS GROUP OFFUTT AFB ON 11 JULY 1963 SAC ACCEPTED AND DECLARED OPERATIONAL THREE BLUE SCOUT JUNIOR LAUNCH SITES AT WISNER, WEST POINT AND TEKAMAH, NEBRASKA. THESE ROCKETS CARRIED A UHF RECORDER WITH A PRERECORDED MESSAGE TO BE TRANSMITTED TO ALL UNITS WITHIN LINE OF SITE OF THE APOGEE OF THE ROCKET'S FLIGHT. THIS WAS ANOTHER METHOD FOR ENSURING RELIABLE COMMAND CONTROL COMMUNICATIONS.
ON 10 OCTOBER 1967 THE FIRST EMERGENCY ROCKET COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM (ERCS) INSTALLED ON A MINUTEMAN II ICBM WAS OPERATIONAL AT WHITEMAN AFB, MISSOURI. ON 1 DECEMBER 1967, THE BLUE SCOUT JUNIOR (ERCS) SITES IN NEBRASKA WERE INACTIVATED
